Madelen Möllard studio with paintings and works in progress

Photography by Beata Cervin for Milk Magazine.

Madelen Möllard is a Swedish artist and creative director working across painting, objects and interiors.

Her practice begins in painting and moves into sculptural objects, hand-painted interiors, site-specific works and commissioned environments. With colour, form and atmosphere as her main materials, she creates work that sits between art, design and space.

Möllard’s paintings often act as a source for larger ideas: a motif may become an object, a pattern may become a wall, and a colour palette may become the foundation for an entire room. Across formats, her work is guided by a clear artistic direction and a strong sense of visual character.

Her practice spans original paintings, bespoke commissions, sculptural objects, murals, hand-painted interiors and artistic environments for private residences, brands, editorial projects and cultural contexts.

Möllard has collaborated with MINI/BMW, Vogue Scandinavia, H&M, Théâtre du Châtelet, & Other Stories, Stockholms Bränneri, Aarke, Kronenbourg and more.
