Stockholm Furniture Fair is the world’s leading meeting place for Scandinavian interior design. During the fair, Madelen Möllard created a booth completely painted in a soothing pale lavender color and adorned it with her playful and vibrant objects.
To create a homely feeling in the booth, two cognac colored B&B Italia Camaleonda modules and a big monstera plant were placed on the terracotta Poppy Rug. To add a bit of playfulness a few of Madelen’s ceramic objects where placed in a pile on top of the rug.
A scaled down model of the booth were built prior to the fair to plan the set design. The rug’s mature brown colors and soft, fluffy material were an exciting and beautiful contrast to the chill and cute purple nuance. The purple color was picked from the cover of the Andy Warhol coffee table book “Love Sex & Desire”.
The Poppy Mirrors where placed on a narrow and tall podium for people to walk around and make the open space of the booth more dynamic. To enhance the botanical feeling, Madelen hand painted a stem to the Mini Poppy Mirror.
