In June 2024, Madelen Möllard celebrated and launched the Poppy Vase with an intimate media breakfast and AW in the courtyard of her atelier.
“I wanted the vase to really flourish so I placed it on top of the courtyard’s fountain and put a large fountain-like bouquet inside of it.”
The Poppy Vase is not only a vase, but also a sculpture, inspired by the poppy flower, which has become Madelen’s signature flower. The vase’s handles are in the shape of the flower which gives it a significant silhouette. Having the art, mirrors and rugs also as a part of the set design invited the guest to fully experience the world of Madelen Möllard.
The hand painted checkered table cloth also illustrated the connection between the paintings and the vase.
Madelen’s objects originates from her paintings. Having her paintings as part of the set design was a way to show the process “2 dimension becomes 3 dimension”.
